PostSubject: Leonardo's Art Studio   Leonardo's Art Studio EmptySat Oct 31, 2015 12:16 am

The Art Studio was a large room, the size\ of two average classrooms with space for tables and chairs when lecturing and separate work stations and easel set ups for drawing from life sessions. The room was filled with tools and art stationary plus a couple of computers and a big interactive white board. It also had cupboards for storage and a small side room which lead into Leonardo's own personal work space. It was frequently used by those of the Creed with Leonardo's permission.

After some time, Ezio was beginning to drive himself mad with walking aimlessly, but he still couldn't convince himself to return to his dorm. Stopping briefly, he tried to figure out where he'd ended up... Luckily, he realised he was still on campus as he noticed the art studio not too far away.

It had been quite some time since he last saw Leonardo... He wondered if the older man would be around, because he could really do with a distraction right now.

Entering the main building, he knocked on the door.. "Leonardo? ..." Turning the handle, it opened.. "Leonardo?.."

Leonardo was finishing off some paperwork in his office, when he heard the knocking from his main studio. That was odd. Who could be stopping by at this time? Most of his students had finished for the day.

He stood up, opening his office door and peering out into the studio. He noticed none other than the second youngest of the Auditores, standing just outside his studio. He smiled brightly. "Ezio Auditore? Is that you? My how you've grown! Giovanni said you would be starting here!", he stepped out of his office, walking to the door. "Come in! Can I get you anything?"

"No, no.. It's fine, thank you..." It was strangely hard work giving a genuine smile, given his mood, but he tried anyway; probably looking a little awkward in the process.

"I just thought I'd stop by and say hello, since we're probably going to be seeing each other around.." Shutting the door behind himself, Ezio hoped he didn't look too much of a mess, he sure felt it right now.

"How has life been treating you, anyway?" He looked around the room.. "It looks like its been treating you well.." He forced out a small laugh.

Smiling at the other, Leonardo leaned against his desk. "It's always nice having visitors, and so good seeing you again Ezio." he poured himself a small drink, offering Ezio a glass.

Noting Ezio's expression and body language, he sighed a little. "I am well indeed...but something tells me you are not fairing quite as well. Come Ezio, surely I can help. If you perhaps need...not quite my advice as a friend then maybe as an adult? You seem troubled dear lad, and you know I am always here to listen to any student no matter what the problem might be."

He was worried for the kid. After all, he'd been a family friend for years. He'd known Giovanni's children since they were small.

Walking further into the room, Ezio leaned on a table not too far from Leonardo, shaking his head at the offer of the drink.

"Uh-h.." He stuttered, realising he hadn't actually decided on anything to say if he was questioned about his off mood.. "Oh, it's just.... relationship problems.." He tried laughing it off. Nothing better came to his head, but it was a reasonable excuse.

"Sometimes you fall in love with the wrong person..." Before he even realised it, he was thinking out loud.. "Sorry.. It's nothing, really!..." His dark eyes darted about the room.. "Father says you've done a lot to help out the Brotherhood recently.. I guess I was just curious after his stories.."

Leonardo smiled slightly at him. He could tell the younger man was troubled, but he wouldn't push. For now he'd keep an eye on him, make sure he was safe. It was the least he could do for Giovanni and his family.

"Ah, I see. Well...you're certainly not incorrect, very wise actually for someone so young. Then again...sometimes we see things as wrong, but are they really? As long as you love and cherish eachother. I am certain you would treat any lady with all the care you would treat your own mother with." he stood up straight, patting Ezio's shoulder gently.

He listened to the other intently, eyes brightening at the mention of Giovanni and the Brotherhood."Ah yes! Well...I can't really say I've heard much from him as of recent, especially with him leaving so abruptly, but I have been working on some designs, mainly for the more experienced assassins. Though, I think you will find it easy adapting. You are very sharp for your age after all."

As much as Ezio really wanted to talk about his situation, as much as he wanted to try and make sense of it, he couldn't. Leonardo's words really struck him; As long as you love and cherish eachother... Was that really enough?

Eyebrows furrowing, he tried to shrug it off and ignore that subject.

"Padre's been overseas, he should be back within the next week or two, I believe..." It somewhat pained him when he hoped it would the latter.. He loved his father, but he could do with less people around to confuse the already confusing situation.

"Anything I can see?" For the first time, Ezio seemed genuinely interested.. "Father is always raving about your designs and mother keeps telling people about the paintings you did for her.. You're a family favourite."

Smiling softly, Leonardo nodded at the other. "Ah yes, he mentioned he would be back in a week or so. Important business to deal with, your father is a great and wise man."

Leonardo grinned at Ezio's question."Why of course! Follow me!" he ushered Ezio into his small office, moving over to his very cluttered desk. "I've been working on a more efficient hidden blade design. As I've seen so far, the trials didn't work out so well the first time, many assassin's nearly lost their left ring finger." His cheeks reddened at the memory. "This blade will ensure that it won't happen."

Chuckling slightly, he shrugged a little. "Maria is most kind, sometimes too much so. I am not content to merely capture the world. I want to change it."

"Sometimes it's a case of trial and error.." Ezio gave a small but sincere smile... "And sometimes small sacrifices.." The smile turned into a laugh.

"But if you ever need a willing subject, I'm always around.. It would be my pleasure to be involved... Even at the cost of a digit or two.." This made for a nice change to the rest of the day's downers; he could understand his parents like of this man.

"Then you're helping the right people."

"Oh dear" Leonardo chuckled sofly, the thought made him nervous. "You are your father's son that's for sure. Ah, that would be a great help! You could test out the new improved one once it's been trialed properly.  Get a feel for a true assassin's weapon." his eyes now shone with excitement

"I have many new ideas to help the Creed, and I just know with the students help, including you, we could really help the world." He dug out a half complete hidden blade and some old throwing knives from one of his drawers."We'll revolutionise the Brotherhood."

"I'll be interested in seeing your ideas, Leonardo.." Ezio smirked... "Even if they aren't all trialed to perfection first... What my father doesn't know, won't hurt him." He'd hate to not be involved simply because Leonardo was worried about his father finding out. "I can handle it.." For the first time today, Ezio had forgotten his problems.

"Could I take a look?" He nodded to the half complete blade.

Leonardo grinned at the young Auditore. "Haha I like your cobfidence, I am sure you are correct there." Smiling in approval, he nodded tot he other.

He reached out for Ezio's arm, strapping the it to his wrist. "It will look much better than this...but this is how it would sit on your forearm. You retract it like this." He pulled the small wire attached, releasing the mechanism thay held the blade and locking it in place so it rested almost in the middle of Ezio's palm.

Holding his arm out, Ezio was like a child at Christmas; there was something about new weapons and designs that interested him no end and if he could be the first to try them out, all the better.

"Very good, Leonardo..." He inspected the weapon with admiration.. "I look forward to seeing and using the finished product.." With an excited smile, he looked up to the other man.. "Say, if I.... were to..." He gestured expressively as he tried finding the words... "Have a request in the future, would you be able to help?"

He grinned. "Oh of course! Honestly, anytime you think of any designs or improvements, or perhaps your own designs, come and join me! I have another student who sometines comes in here, he actually helped come up with a better design for the hidden blade, but I think he prefers other weapons most of the time. So yes! By all means, you are always welcome here whether it be Creed involved or just for a chat and a cup of coffee."

Smiling softly, Leonardo place a hand on the other's back,  resetting the hidden blade's mechanism. "Perhaps one day I will show you the secret project I am working on."

Sometines Leonardo came across as quite excitable,  especially when it involved his work and peaked other people's interests. He was almost like an oversized puppy.

"Thank you.. I might be taking you up on that offer in the near future.." It seemed like Ezio had a place to go if things got a bit difficult in the future with everything that had happened today.

His mind wandered to Federico; he knew he should go back and talk to him now he'd calmed down. Maybe.. He should tell him about Vieri... Maybe.

"I should probably make a move now though... I have things I'm neglecting by being here, but it would be my honour if you require a... guinea pig at any point.." Giving a charming smile, he made sure to remove the blade and hand it back over.

"You are most welcome!" He'd do anything to help one of Giovanni's children. The family had helped him out a lot over the years, he was happy Ezio felt he could come to Leonardo for advice, and a friend to trust.

Smiling at the other, he nodded. " Of course Ezio! You are always welcome here! Haha, I may take you up on that offer one day!" He took the blade back, beaming happily.

"Thank you, Leonardo...I dare say I'll see you around." Turning to leave, Ezio headed back for the door he came in by.. "Stay safe.." It seemed a bit odd, but he had a feeling he'd just found a good friend; which was rare to come by.. The young man might have been popular, but he considered very few to be close.

Shutting the door behind himself, he took a deep breath, wishing he could have stayed for longer, but he couldn't keep running away from his problems. With any luck, Federico had stopped drinking and was sobering up by now.

Waving as Ezio left, Leonardo got back to his work, packing his designs away and preparing to leave. He liked to think of his studio and office as a sort of sanctuary for his students and those of the Creed. Speaking to Ezio had enlightened him on a few things and he could definitely tell the lad had promise. Giovanni would be proud of him.

Seems like he could count on the Young Auditore, he reminded him of Federico Auditore when he was quite a bit younger. Though, a tad less brash perhaps.

Smiling fondly at the memory, Leonardo locked up for the evening.

Returning to his Studio, Leonardo opened up,  walking into his office. He sat down,  staring at the wall for god knows how long. He pulled out the crumpled up poster, staring at it once more. The brothers would be furious when they found out.

Giovanni made his way over to see his old friend, well Marias' old friend, he was more of an acquaintance really.
The lights were on and he knocked gently before opening just in case there was a meeting going on.

Hearing a knock at the door Leonardo was roused from his concentration. He stepped back from his easel, brushing off his hands and walking to the door. He was pleasantly surprised when he opened the door. There stood Giovanni Auditore.

"Ah~! Giovanni, is that you? What a pleasure to see you again! Cone in, come in!", he opened the door wide, beckoning the older man to enter.

"Leonardo! how have you been?" Giovanni was cheered by the smile, at least someone else had been having a good day. Though that might change.
"do you have a moment? i need some advice or at the very least someone to bounce ideas off."

"I have been well my friend~! How is the lovely Maria and your family? I expect you have had time to catch up with your 2 eldest yes?" Smiling brightly, he urged the other to sit, offering the man a drink.

"Of course, I have plenty time to spare. I am always here to talk my friend."

Giovanni nodded yes to the drink, "Maria, Claudia and Petro are fine thanks and she expects you for dinner sometime soon, as for the boys...yes i've seen them..." he held out the now very crumpled poster to Leonardo.
"However...they've this to deal with and it's only the second day of term" he sighed, "I've told them to deal with this but it's all over campus!"
